"Too old to cry to mum"

How I feel inside.

By Maja KobylińskaPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

I prefer to fly high,

Rather than sink deep.

I prefer to write,

Rather than overthink.

I prefer to stand out and scream,

Rather than give up my dream.

I prefer faking my smile,

Rather than let you see,

The mess inside my head,

And the thoughts consuming me.

I prefer to fight my fate,

And decide who I really am.

I prefer to conquer my flaws,

Rather then pretend a 10/10.

I prefer to know her well,

Rather than a thousand faces,

Becouse she's the only one,

That I allow in my private spaces.

I prefer enjoying the moonlight,

Rather than admiring the sun,

Becouse in the dark you can't see what's not right,

And they say I'm too old to run and cry to my mum.

About the Creator

Maja Kobylińska

I'm a teenager, who's eager to help others by sharing my perspective of the world. My idea of clarity in one's mind is to understand the inner voice, that's sometimes afraid to stand up and speak up for itself.
