A Poem

Tired Lines

He said I was the love of his life

He even implied that he wanted me to be his wife

but now there's nothing left but sad memories

and tired lines

and miserable recipes

for a love gone wrong

manipulation static

I'm loving him like it's a bad habit

It's wrong

what he did

but commonplace

at least they say it is

my heart's in pieces

he's with some other girl

telling her she's his whole world

I wish I could pull the trigger on his crazy dreams

but now that's nothing but a wicked scheme.

My heart's in shards on the floor

and he's not ever coming back anymore.

sad poetry
