Time Mocks

Why is Time a tree with one branch?

We travel through and see the decisions and paths

then only one comes to be - is it just me?

Who else does see this tree that we upon be?

Why can’t we see the decisions and paths

and where they lead and what could be?

We are a world of decisions yet we decide nothing,

Time mocks us for believing we have a choice

in what path lies ahead. The decisions come and

go; the path stays constant and Time laughs at us

Time doesn’t care about the past, Time moves

us forward, Time pushes on and if one resists,

one gets swept away by the tide of Time.

Time is a tree with one branch yet infinite possibilities

and Time grows unending,
