This is Maine

This is Maine

Massive pine trees stretch toward the sky

Resembling upside down chevrons pointing the way to heaven

And the sky is clear cerulean and cloudless

Gently balancing on the horizon

Of the massive ocean

Sparkling like a massive lapis lazuli gemstone

In the sunlight that heavily beats down its life-giving warmth

While the water ravaged stones rubbed smooth and slick through antiquity on the beach

Protect, guard and contain the living waters

That nourish and provide for our existence.

This is Maine.
