Brick walls uneven and cracked on concrete barriers cemented with no care
Yet in the light it shines like a rose growing in a dark cellar
Close your eyes and you almost smell the asphalt as eager Jordan’s race by in search of the next adventure
Motorcycles rev, an ambulance chases a fire truck. A child drops their ice cream cone while another plays hopscotch.
A little old woman pushes a cart.
And the sun shines, bright with a hint of melody soaking in the smells of stubborn trees and a cacophony of birds.
A pow wow of sounds some over stimulating some subtly beautiful as they play out a symphony
The sun still shines,
These brick walls set a stage and if you peek left you get a glimpse of the proud trees playing the hell out of their roles watching the people grow, describing the world we know
These brick walls set a stage and if you peek right you get an eyeful of street as the people march to the beat of this symphony so sweet
These brick walls are the background of my window and even still I know🐯 as the sun shines bright, these brick walls in sight. I shut my eyes with all my might and soak in the delight of life in performance
A clean unbroken dance
With choreography designed as though by chance
But scripted by my heart and from there I understand
These brick walls as a canvas waiting calmly beneath my hands
