They don’t know me
And they never will.
Being hidden is quite a skill
Maybe it will set me free.
Surely there is a better place
Where I can be content.
A wide open space
With time to be spent.
A place away from my foes.
Alone with my thoughts
And spare me of my sorrows.
Where the eyes would not weep
And the mind is blank.
Allowing a dreamful sleep.
No worries and no fears.
Seeing nothing but the natural world ahead.
They will dry, my tears.
For to this world my heart was led.
A world from mine own head
To keep me from harm's way.
Not a single word was said
Until the last second of this day.
When the memories all fade
And nothing more remains.
My role was well played
And I am now free from those chains.
Here I live in this world I created.
A lasting peace to my wounded soul.
It all took a great toll
But the years were patiently waited.
All of the strife one can endure
Can prove the strength one possesses.
After all those stresses
The peaceful life is the simple cure.
