The Wild Wolf

You find yourself alone outside

Under a starry sky

A gush of wind surrounds you

A burst of light then flashes by

You walk towards the forest

As inside you feel the pull

And when you look up high above

You see the moon is full

A howling starts to tremble

But you don’t hear any sound

Leaves crunch underneath your feet

As you slowly turn around

The forest land is empty

Moonlight seeps into the trees

The howling is so powerful

It brings you to your knees

You reach your arm up slowly

As you call to Mother Moon

You notice that the howling

Is in fact your heart beat’s tune

You’re looking for the wolf outside

As the native drums begin

And this is when you realise

The Wild Wolf is within

Connecting to the power

That you’ve always tried to hide

It’s clear as ever for you now -

The Wild Wolf is inside

You stand up ever slowly

As your eyes turn crystal green

The light is pouring into you

Revealing all that was unseen

Merging with your counterpart

Your Wolf and You are One

The Journey of your Divinity

Has only just begun
