The tears that fall from a love that was never enough

Why did it have to be this way, A love that was never enough? The tears keep falling, day after day, As the heart aches with a pain that's rough.

The tears that fall from a love that was never enough,

A pain that cuts deep and leaves a permanent scar.

It was a love that should have been enough,

But instead it left a feeling of despair.

Memories of laughter and joy now fade,

Replaced by the emptiness of what once was.

A love that once burned bright like a flame,

Now a distant flicker in the past.

Why did it have to be this way,

A love that was never enough?

The tears keep falling, day after day,

As the heart aches with a pain that's rough.

But in the end, all that's left is the truth,

A love that was never enough.

The tears may dry, but the pain will stay,

As a reminder of what once was love.
