The sweet embrace of life:
The sweet embrace of life,
Though it both nourishes and destroys,
Through hot summers and cold winters
A cycle of renewal, lives and dies.
We hear stories of joy and pain,
Tales told of loves that remain,
Trials of heartache and hardship,
Resilient we strive evermore on.
Life’s questions linger in each soul,
We choose directions, but never know,
Where our steps will take us,
Whether we’ll fly or stumble.
The sweet embrace of life,
Though it both nourishes and destroys,
Bathed in tears, laughter and sorrow,
Experience, the greatest gift one can know.
We’re taught courage to stand fearless,
With duty to do what’s right,
A fire for justice and kindness,
Compassion reaches beyond the night.
Through life’s whims we struggle and strive,
Each one unique and alive,
We yearn to find what we truly are,
Our destinies confusing, yet ever so far.
The sweet embrace of life,
Though it both nourishes and destroys,
We fight what best we can,
For pure intentions often we foil.
In moments of joy, savor peace and delight,
In moments of despair, may faith ever ignite,
An eternal flame held in each heart,
For a future of love and no more apart.
The sweet embrace of life,
Though it both nourishes and destroys,
We’ll never dwell on what we lack,
As life - an adventure never to take back.
About the Creator
Dharu
Everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self doubt.
