Ridin’ out the days

Till the sun scorches my face

Horsey keep trottin’

For there’s a spike on the cowboy’s boot

---------------------------

Watch out for the snakes

Mama told me so

Tempted I better not go

For there’s a spike on the cowboy’s boot

----------------------------

I went down the path anyway

Lookin’ wonderful in disarray

And the lil Devil jumped up

For there’s a spike on the cowboy’s boot

----------------------------

Took my ring finger with him

Now he’s shiny and hissin’

Mama was freakin’ right

For there’s a spike on the cowboy’s boot

----------------------------

Along the path I trot

Angered and distraught

My horse cries and neighs

For there’s a spike on the cowboy’s boot
