The River of Time

I think this came about because I am reading “The Fabulous Riverboat” the second book in Philip Jose Farmer’s “Riverworld” series, plus the songs “River of Dreams” by Billy Joel and “River of Salt” by Bryan Ferry with the addition of an inspirational spark that I always have resulted in this poem.

The River of Time has a one way flow

Where it will take us we really don’t know

We can never go back, We Can Recall

Time Gives Us Memories, Treasures For All

🕕⌛🕰️⏰

The River of Time is so relentless

Nothing can stop it’s continuous progress

Carrying Us On, Towards Tomorrow

Swept By The River, To Hope or Sorrow

🕕⌛🕰️⏰

The River of Time Gives Us Our Future

That is its Purpose, It is its Nature

The River of Time May be relentless

Be True To Yourself To Find Your Success

The River of Time will not ever stop

Go with the flow, you will come out on top
