As the days go by

Odin discovers something new.

A new way to plant

Or a tool to help his crew.

Knowledge is power

As he carries his voice.

A power to wield

In one's choice.

A sword or spear

Is a weapon of strength.

Yet an enemy's weakness

Gives knowledge more length.

To outsmart one's enemy

Is a great advantage.

Gives oneself character

And not just a savage.

There is more to this world,

Odin wishes to see.

For a journey to embark

Across the land and sea.

Yet Odin's leadership

Is challenged with fear.

For a mighty Jotun has come,

To unleash the wrath of Ymir.

About the Creator

Mark Shaw

I began writing lyrics and stories back in high school. Even went as far as publishing a poem online and it being in a book. As with film a picture can say a thousand words and show emotion, but audio triggers that emotion.
