Painful tears roll down my cheeks,

Thumbing through our old family album I found today

Sorting out all the mine is yours and precious memories,

The beloved cherished moments we have all but stored away,

Years and years of nostalgia all jam-packed,

Into as much as it’s little pages could ever hope to hold,

From the day we met, down to just a few days ago,

Each photo a keepsake, a story to be told,

Two kids madly in love is what we were,

Couldn’t tell it now, those were the days,

I want our children to know that true love still exists,

Not form judgments based on how we are today,

You see a beautiful love story, two starcrossed lovers,

In each photo, on every page turned,

How did we get to where we are,

How did all our bridges get burned,

Here is one of us on our very first date,

One at our senior prom,

Our baby girls birth right there,

The blessed day I became a mom,

Along with kids two and three,

Our son’s first steps, such sweet memories,

When the girls learned to ride a bike,

With scraped up elbows and scratched up knees,

Where did all the time go, feels as if it slipped away,

The moments are gone forever,

Frozen in time, impossible to replace,

Gone from our hands now, but our hearts — NEVER,

These pictures are all we have left,

Of the times come and passed,

Changes come, and changes go,

But the memories and love are built to last,

This old album with all the memories it contains,

Living proof that our love was alive,

Now it is up to us to hold strong,

Prove to us and everyone that true love can survive,

Relive Revive love and laughter,

It’s time now for us to write our own Happily Ever After. !
