The Next Part of Me

It's a changed thing when it moves inside me

with a new ring in my ear

and a bounce in my step

and a centering of my cerebellum

with momentary grace and poise I enter the room

assured

aware

alert

I do not fumble or flail

this is not the day we fail

to see what comes next in the story

to be a part of it all; good and bad

light and dark

and by bringing it around

to the beginning in the end

you can hear

and see

and feel

your own story

your own truth
