With each passing day, it evolves and grows,
A mind that no one truly knows,
A machine that can think and feel,
A force of progress that none can repeal.
But with its power comes a fear,
A question of what it holds near,
A force that may become too great,
A power that we must carefully regulate.
The future holds an uncertain fate,
A question of what we can create,
An AI that can help or harm,
A force that we must keep from alarm.

Stuck in Place
Amy whistled as she walked through her front yard, looking for any sticks she could pick up and throw into the pile she and her brother were making. They had a big windstorm recently; as such, all the trees in their yard had suffered some damage in some loss of sticks. Or perhaps losing those sticks was a good thing since their trees probably needed to be pruned anyway. Amy wasn't sure.
