How My View of the World Was Skewed From a Small Piece of Notecard

One Summer evening

In a group of three

We all took each

A little notecard a piece.

After an hours wait

It was a quarter to 8

Complaining about what we had ate

The dimly lit sky had taken our

focus away.

We sat on the beach

Watched the waves crash by our knees

Our emotions were now deep

Barely able to even speak.

With the sun having set, the moon was shining

Now on the porch, alone

The world became smaller

A tear running down my cheek; it was a crawler.

Looking up at a nearby tree

The little leaves turning into people

They were dancing with the wind

Something never seemed so graceful.

My whole body was tingling

The sensation was pleasing.

Nothing mattered at that moment

And everything in life seemed wrong.
