Reflections:

I have lived the North American Life and yet my roots are in an old world and so is my soul. As I swirl some cream into the blackest expresso I wish I could bite into a hot croissant. You know the kind filled with chocolate richness that oozes out with each bite and gives you that full body delight. The French language is filled with expressions like " the little death" usually referring to post organismic experience. I wonder did they forget to add the full body experience while one enjoys French pastry to their expressions? Why isn't the little death " I have died and gone to heaven? Oh the questions!

My little fantasy is a man that can bake. I dream of strolling Parisian streets hand in hand as I watch" Emily in Paris" on a Saturday afternoon. Dreams are good. I imagine my French love explaining the French language and oozing sweetness as he combs his fingers through his hair. This fantasy can go in many directions and this of course is a censured version.

Life is rich and the richness is the sweet and bitterness of life and everything in between. Delighting in our senses is a full sensory sensual experience.

Perhaps. it is only when we fully and completely experience the joys of this human existence that we live fully and we all know we die a little bit each and everyday. Do you think it is in the" little death" or orgasmic experience that we humans celebrate with every cell the joy of truly being? I know I certainly do and to deny ourselves our sensual side is denying our humanness and the " Joy of life". Oh course there are times when this zest and desire wanes however, when we have healthy libidos we are on fire.

If you want to live go ahead and " French kiss", explore living and the sweetness that is. Enjoy the chocolate, the lingerie that caresses your skin "Emily In Paris' can wait! Go find a love and love like no other. Live without fear of entanglements and enjoy the tangles. Life is meant to be messy. If you can't find love right now enjoy the croissant and a little self love in the afternoon. The little death will renew and for everything else there is chocolate.

A beautiful story. I am diabetic and addicted to chocolate, but managing to avoid it at the moment but that won't last. I really love this story. It's a sunny day here, and you just made it sunnier

  • A refreshing and fun story, fellow daydreamer of Paris.

  • Such a wondeful prose and so beautifully written! I loved it!
