the invisible antagonist

heart of stone

the sun is bright, the air is warm.

I found my way back home, finally.

I’m safe here with her, I know I am.

stop.

hold on a minute…

one thought. that’s all it takes.

one intruder and fear takes over.

my insides start to tremble.

I feel naked, completely exposed to outer threats.

what should I do now?

play dead. yes.

cold, rigid, heartless.

bury every single emotion,

six feet down under.

no feelings, no sufferings.

forget vulnerability, she will break your heart anyway.

may as well do it first.
