In the quietest part of night,

When I hover between dark and light,

Wondering if I can float away on dreams,

Hoping they won't turn into screams,

Watching the twinkling of stars,

Confined behind these bars,

When it all feels so real,

Like I am spinning on a wheel,

The dark mist pulling me under,

Me wanting to surrender to its slumber,

But I feel the warmth of dawn,

Urging me to wake up and go on,

My mind no longer hearing the cries,

Its colors painting the sky,

Taking me by my hand,

As if it was all planned,

I push away the pain,

Seeing it is now a new day.
