Reincarnated
She hid her disappointment, never wanting him to feel badly for the pain he caused her.
She smiled and walked on, refusing to reveal her wanting for his embrace.
She changed her mind and let go of the memories that held her there.
She decided to begin again and become a newer, altered version of who she had ever been before.
Shedding expectations and looking forward to new desires, she cried. Letting the darkness consume her completely, for a moment.
Because, the thing about pain is it demands to be felt.
