The Haiku Shack Podcast - "On the Wings of Oblivion"
"On the wings of oblivion / I remember flying high."

The Haiku Shack is dedicated to inspiration and poetry. Host Cendrine Marrouat reads her own poems and those from her favorite poets.
In today's episode, the focus is on an old poem of mine, titled "On the Wings of Oblivion." I recorded the piece in 2009.

On the Wings of Oblivion - Cendrine Marrouat
On the wings of oblivion
I remember flying high.
Lethe welcomed me in
Her waving arms,
While Heaven caressed
My drowning soul.
What is Love but that inner part of us
That demands evolution?
---
On the wings of oblivion
I remember Death’s sweet smile.
She is, oh! So beloved of angels!
And I am no exception.
I wish Man would not fear Her so.
She sings delightful melodies
And shall cleanse the grief
Of the cross bearers in this world.
---
On the wings of oblivion,
My dear God was there.
And He absolved my faults.
And He kissed my ailing body.
And He made me new again.
---
Oh, Man! Miracles happen
On the wings of oblivion!
