THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Fearless and brave

Follows her intuition

Steps into emotions

Water under his bridge

Wrecks hers in half

Unprepared for the aftermath

Released into the water

Sink or swim

Life looks grim

Out on a limb

Skyline dims

Floating in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Treads in place

Currents to embrace

Stroke after stroke

She steadies her pace

Full of grace

On her back

She won't crack

Braves the deep

Counts the stars

They know her purpose

Nervous

Floating in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Together with spirit

Faces the devil

Refuses to quit

Makes no excuses

Gives all it takes

Creates her own luck

Wishing on stars

Tempers her energy

Passionate and sweet

Wants to retreat

Life’s not fair

She says a prayer

Floating in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Split in the river

Makes her heart quiver

Feels a shiver

Wonders what lies downriver

Giver of friendship

He wants nothing more

Deliver her to shore

Cuts to the core

Adores him she does

She looks back once

Says goodbye

Floating in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Reflects on her journey

Grateful for growth

Not trying to boast

Almost a ghost

Toasts to her future

She’ll find another suitor

Who knows her worth

She has all she needs

Except love that lasts

Happiness is at stake

Ravenous lake

Heartbreak song

Admits when she’s wrong

Floating in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Looking for strength

In the touch of his hands

Soaked to the core

She’s been through war

On solid ground

Looks around

Calls to her divine

Waited a lifetime

He’s right on time

Takes her hand

Love unplanned

Together in THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Finally chosen

Full of devotion

Shows her emotion

Together they walk

Blessed by long talks

Likes she’s outspoken

No longer broken

They're meant to be

Thanks to destiny

Together in THE GREAT UNKNOWN
