Amidst the chaos of a world so vast,

A virus spread, no cure was cast,

The world stood still, its heart did beat,

But human life, it had to retreat.

The streets went silent, the skies were clear,

Nature breathed free, but human life was in fear,

Masks became the new normal, the only way to survive,

The pandemic had come, to change our lives.

A pause in human life, a moment to reflect,

To appreciate the little things we once neglect,

Our lives slowed down, our minds were still,

But the virus kept spreading, it had no will.

The economy crumbled, businesses shut down,

The world fell apart, but hope was still around,

The frontline workers, the heroes of our time,

Risked their lives, to keep us alive.

We adapted, we innovated, we found a way to cope,

Our resilience showed, as we learned to hope,

The pandemic will end, and we will rebuild,

Stronger and better, with our humanity fulfilled.
