The Forgiving Well.

A tool has feelings too.

The pen connects with the paper and glides across it.

With no care in the world

And no friction to stop it.

This moment right here,

is its happiest ever.

If he had his way,

he'd do it forever.

Blindly telling the story of a mortals mind

but once the words run out,

the pen is left behind.

Stops moving,

Stops gliding,

Stops wondering if it painted the white space with grace and style.

Instead now, it sits.

Patiently waiting,

Secretly hoping,

That one day,

One day you'll need him again.
