The years have grown long
Yet I still survive.
My enemies think me weak, but I am strong.
My eyes are cold and void of light.
Seeing only the danger before me.
Only wishing to leave this eternal fight
To finally know what it is like to be free.
But I’m not given such luxury.
The demons around me must not win.
If they do, there will be no recovery.
And I will drown within.
There is no one who can help.
This war was mine from the start.
After every battle, a new scar will be on my heart.
But I must go on.
