The emptiness of losing a soulmate

The emptiness of losing a soulmate

Fills my heart with a pain so great

The loss of you, it cuts like a knife

Leaving me with a hollowed life

Gone are the laughter, gone are the tears

The memories we shared, now just a mere

Reflection of what once was true love

But now it seems like it was all a dream from above

I search for solace, I search for peace

But all I find is an emptiness that won't cease

You were my rock, my guiding light

But now you're gone, leaving me to face the night

I long to hold you, to see your smile

To feel your touch, to be with you all the while

But I know that it's just a wish in vain

For you are gone and will never come again.
