The Dark Side

never strays too far from the light

The disconnection, admittedly, is through no fault of our own. But the continuity of such is a burden we must take responsibility for, as it slowly causes our hearts to decompose in the name of neglect.

How many hours have we spent with her, with us? This incredible planet. The commonplace existence that lies underneath the foliage of chaos that we insist on creating in abundance. How many times have we listened to the wisdom of the bird song which resonates unheard beside the panels of glass we enclose ourselves in? Have we considered he might have something to say?

Something that exceeds all importance, all reason and logic to call us home to a place long forgotten. The great resistance that lies within us, the clogging of our pathways with nonsense and clutter born of man's materialistic desires. We search for an escape, anything! Dark, blind groping for meaning in a world of confusion and negligent intentions. The answers simply wait at the front door, in the depths of the nearest forest, upon the waters of a river flowing effortlessly through it's life of contentment.

But to be so valiant as to admit one's faults takes a great strength, a strength that slowly whittles to nothing under the ever pressing self doubt, which threatens to exterminate the passions that may keep us afloat in this world of contemporary destruction.

There are few who willingly submit to the power of nature, her endless flow that can only lead to liberation. Are we so blind to not recognise the fate that befalls us in our current ways? The fate that has befallen so many who trekked the path of futile ambition before us. The answer seems so simple, but the mere shadow of our personality stands rooted in the entrance of the only door we may ever need to open.

Can one's own shadows amount to that which cannot be forgiven? Does the judge that resides in our hearts bear so much status that we dare not confront him?

Our inability to face the truth is the only thing standing in the way of our connection to the only truth that will set us free. Surely man is made of more than this.
