Hey beautiful brown girl,
I love your hair.
I want to see that
texture everywhere.
It's thick.
It's healthy.
It has strength.
It is gorgeous regardless of its length.
Don't let them tell you it's unprofessional
or that it should be straight.
Your natural hair rises as if it has no weight.
The crown on your head is bold and shiny.
Never let anyone make you feel tiny.
Show it off and walk with grace.
Haters only want to take your place.
The way your hair grows is just fine.
If it bothers them, let them whine.
You are a queen that needs no co-sign.

I love this so much. I have kinky curly hair and was often made fun of for that, I can't imagine why people can be so cruel, but this was pure empowerment!
Thank you so much for writing this inspirational love poem to all the young black girls out there who need to take pride in their natural hair.
