My body is a canvass
The artwork tells a story
Pay close attention
To all the pain and all the glory
I cannot tell you everything
Of which you wish to seek
But if you keep your eyes wide open
My ink will surely speak
Troubled journeys that haunt us so
And memories of light
The story forming on my body
Is one that's full of sight
I am written in every color
Formed from my own mind
So, when you do look closely
Tell me what you find
For my body is a canvass
The artwork tells a story
So, please, pay close attention
To all the pain and all the glory.
