THE ADMIRER

Daybreaks over a magenta sunrise

Reflecting iridescent colours onto a blue lagoon

He watches with admiring eyes,

As the dark haired beauty bathes in shallow waters

She senses his presence

A welcome touch over her smooth skin

So near, yet so far

For she is forbidden fruit, in a Garden of Eden

The magic of night and day, now slowly exchange hands

Bringing with it a silver moon and a touch of stardust

Both glistening like crystals upon the clear midnight water

She continues to bathe elegantly before him,

And he continues to watch on with adorning eyes

Not a single foot he steps towards her

For true beauty remains just so when untouched
