Tempting Dance

When you seek love, who will win in the end?

Swayed by emotion,

Tempted by love,

Two sides to join her,

Heaven sent from above.

One offers comfort,

The other a lifetime of love.

Both offer something

The other has not.

There’s always a choice,

There’s always a better.

You could spend your whole life

To find one better.

Learn to settle upon one,

One you’ll appreciate always

And forever

Or be alone all your days.

Comfort wins out,

A new life starts.

This time it means something,

And joy fills the heart.

Then another presents himself,

And you second guess.

The shadow succeeds

And you dance on again.
