Thinking … what can I write about next ?
My power of imagination, put to the test
An Instagram-live show, I’ve been on before
Suggested a theme – and I thought, Yes ! For Sure !
As an Actor, and Poet … THIS IS what we do
We tell someone’s story … it can be made-up, or true
And … the story can be … about me … or you !
Sometimes – you get to be, Star of the show
But, just as important, are The Extras … you know !
We put on our costumes, we put on our faces
Then … we transport the audience, to faraway places
When we do a good job … we get the applause
If it’s bad, and we suck … well – cutting room floor !
My favourite are stories that are, complete fantasy
I’d love to be made-up, so you can’t tell that it’s me
Acting out somebody’s story is fun
You can do it in accent … or, act like your mum
The more that you try, the more that you learn
But, you have to be patient … and wait for your turn
And, supporting your friends, while THEY tell THEIR story …
Well … that IS a GREAT WAY, to share in the glory.

The time my sis and I saw aliens
When I was about 8-10 years old (I don't remember exactly), my sister and I were at a family party hosted by my uncle's parents. Being Mexican, our parties typically involved lots of relatives, their kids, and random friends, so there were probably 20-25 people there. The party was in my uncle's parents' driveway and front yard, with tables of food in the driveway and kids playing in the front yard where there was a bouncy house.

The Gen Z Entrepreneurial Revolution
It is hardly debatable that the world has always been run by a bunch of aging dinosaurs, mostly male, who refuse to allow the younger generation to bring about changes. Politicians and leaders everywhere refuse to release the reigns of creativity and leadership until they are dead or dying. It is time to give the young a chance to revolutionize and change the entire landscape of their existence. Those of us with one foot in the grave, so to speak, should wake up and realize that we are not the ones who will be living in the world in the years to come.
