Tears that fall from a love that was never meant to be

A heartache that lingers like a bitter memory

A love that once flourished, now a distant dream

A pain that cuts so deep, it makes one want to scream

It was a love that burned so bright, but quickly died

A love that was never truly given a chance to thrive

A love that was taken for granted, never to be seen

A love that was never meant to be, a love that was never meant to be

The emptiness that follows, a hollow sound

A love that was never truly found

The regret of what could have been, a love so pure

A love that was never meant to endure

So now the tears that fall, they fall like rain

From a love that was never meant to remain

A love that was never truly meant to be

A love that was lost, a love that was free.
