Tangled In The Memory

A Poem

Tangled up in the memory,

I couldn’t help but cry as I sat thinking about them

I blamed it on my coughing,

Saying it was when it wasn’t

It wouldn’t be the first time I cried while I’ve shown you affection,

Not sure what brought it on

Now you’re wondering what’s wrong

For what it’s worth,

I’m pretty tired pretending it doesn’t hurt sometimes

We had it,

But you thought about it,

Now It’s something that will never be

I still see your face in my dreams,

Feeling like you’re here with me;

I’m just tangled in the memory
