Take your shoes off at work.
Revel in the rebellion of ten tiny toes
Declaring freedom from the socks of society’s imposition
And the fabric that enfolds us in
The tight, the timely, the expected and the deliverable.
Stretch them like infants free from their swaddles,
Reaching over their heads for the
Very
First
Time.
The thrill of mutiny,
Of kissing the air around them with bare skin.
Answer your emails.
Make your calls.
Close your sales.
But do it with the glowing glee of fresh revolution under your desk.

Love this. When I am writing, I have to be barefoot. I garden barefoot too. Makes my husband crazy. lol
Haha this is great. And I have totally done this (at in-person jobs)! I always take my shoes off at my desk, and I do often wear socks, but not always.
I love this! Wish I had the freedom. Stupid in person job. 😂
I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. THIS.
This sounds so freeing! I work remotely and one of the best perks I have is not having to wear shoes or anything else I don’t want to wear.
Omg that feeling was so blissful. At my previous job, I worked 8 hours and had 1 hour break. In those 8 hours, I have to be on my feet. So during my 1 hour break, I take off my shoes and twiddle my toes. It was bliss
I love this, and of course I was twiddling my toes while reading it.
Freeing feet, now that's freedom and comfort. Loving your poem!😊💖💕
I love this. It is so freeing!
Really enjoyed this. I used to walk around barefoot in my old job. I know that feeling!!
Another goodie reminds me of one of mine
