sweet death of life
by cosette alize, 10/11/2022
For all the wheat fields of Moscow, ID
Sweet death of life
Sweet death awake,
And kill the corpse
My soul, do take.
Like autumn leaves
That crisp and fall,
Like pangs of birth
Give life to all.
I once did dread
The coming days,
When earth would change
Bright leaf to rains.
But then one day
I woke to find,
That death had passed
And I’d been blind.
No pain so great
As looking down,
As running far
From cross and crown.
When running straight
To run is sweet,
When dying comes
We die as wheat.
No change is death
Unless it is,
All pain is life
When we are His.
About the Creator

I write stories, because I live a story. No fantasy world will ever compare to the one we live in. I want to describe our world in a way that reveals the Creator's magic, and write fantasy world's in a way that illuminates our reality.
