Sunset Garden

Evening Dew

I visit the garden

At sunset

There, I find my sanctuary

Among honeysuckle

And freesia

Among briars

And small green trees

No stained glass windows

Adorn the place

Only God’s peace and grace

Here, a choir

Of shining stars

Breaks through

The darkening blue

Sparkles

Over hyacinth

And jasmine

Over butterfly plants

And trumpet blooms

The soprano scents

Filling the moment

Florescent and glistening

Where flowers

Display

Watery Beads

And opalescent pearls

And delicate crystals

Surround

Amethyst and peridot jewels

A beautiful symmetry -

A rainbow

In muted light

The sleeping green

Tucked under

The silver blanket of night

Feeling warm

And loved

Slumbering peacefully

A night bird’s song

Captured

In the waning light
