Sunflower

Oh, beautiful sunflower I watch you grow from afar like the sunshine

You are tall, radiant, and brighter than any other

Oh, sunflower why do you subject yourself to such torment?

There is none other like you as you are unique with your own flaws

The Highest smiles on you as no one can touch you

You are shielded and protected by His love and glory

Don’t cry little sunflower, your petals are still intact Sunflower remember you are tall, radiant, and brighter than any other

You are not your mistakes

Oh, beautiful sunflower you are wounded deeply but you will still grow

You are weathering a storm that seems futile, your roots afraid to be repotted

When the time is right, you will be ready

You will be renewed as a freshly potted flower with more room to grow

You will enjoy the fresh relief of being free from the clutches of parasites

You will enjoy the newness of the pot

The feel of the pot will be snug and warm and welcoming

There will be no negativity and your beauty will shine with love and kindness

Just hang on little sunflower, you will make it

Oh, beautiful little sunflower don’t cry because you can still see the sky
