Sun Rise, Sun Fall

Sun rise and sun fall

The seeds of yesterday set.

Here you are in anticipation for the flowers of tomorrow

Only nourished by the precipitation of yesterday’s sorrows

Gracious at first sight but don’t come near

Every tear from the past grew into its thorns

An angelic aurora guarded by devilish horns

Her imperfect exterior

Built on the words she’d stay inferior

Sun rise and sun fall

The restlessness

The watching

The waiting for the signs

You see ...

The truth is what lies beneath the feelings you chose to deny

Sun rise and sun fall

Get back up or let the demons take toll

Could this be the end

Face to face in a lions den

It’s only you against you

The mirrored image of yesterday cannot mould tomorrow’s reflection

Will the sun rise or will the sun fall?
