We danced beneath the sun
Growing in its glory
As we remembered the beauty
Of life before the winter,
Recalling youth and destiny
The moments passed
We wished to revive
In matured state,
Finding inspiration in the blooms
And the running creaks,
Reminders of a simple life
Before responsibility took root
And our goals adjusted
To meet the frames set forth
By a society with little recognition
Of the sun and moon
And all their stars-
But alas life springs forth
And yanks us back
To a reality where we live
For little recognition
Just simple smiles
And the beauty that is nature
The flowers that grow wild
The weeds stretching forth
Showing that existence is real
Without the constant nag
Of a human world
Set on fast forward-
We danced beneath a sun
Until the moon arose
And changed the expression
Of our awe.
