Summer's end

A Prayer and a Poem for back to school

** I think the picture says it all** and that is how I want to segue into this.

Parents every where are both excited and anxious

because its the beginning of yet another school year

school shopping new clothing only to be told that

Mom ewww if its not exactly what they want.

Supplies bankrupting

our wallets depending on the grade.......

the scared look on incoming freshman

as they realize

they are now the bottom of the pile

at least for the year unless they become popular

But more than that

as they leave and depart for school

a prayer is said

asking for their safety

in hopes that we don't hear the dreaded fearful words

that haunt our schools and take our youth
