Stop Blaming Us Millennials for the Lies You Fucking Fed Us

Anger poem

The blame is on us.

The young ones.

The ones who have been told we could be and do anything we wanted to.

They did lie to us you know.

Those dreams they had us believing

Simply untrue.

Go to college to get a good job.

That you must have 5 years' experience for.

Work 40 hours

So you can afford to feed your family.

What a joke I think.

Don't you?

40 hours barely covers half of what we owe.

But we were the ones who fucked up this country weren't we?

Open your eyes and you'll know.

As children, we were blinded.

All thoughts cut into the same shape.

They wanted to keep us lined up,

Because they were afraid we'd see their mistakes.

Walk across that stage after 18 years of lies.

As soon as you do,

You'll be transported Into

The unknown world we now

Have realized.

Everything you see. Everything you've learned.

Everything you heard.

Lies lies lies.

And of course, it's our fault,

Right?

STOP BLAMING US MILLENNIALS FOR THE LIES YOU FUCKING FED US.
