Our love is as if

Artemis fell to earth for Hecate

in her maiden form.

Fell from the sky

on a constellation’s star

and left the night moonless.

Our love dances around fire’s flames

and rises with its smoke.

That moonless night sky,

a paint of dark velvet

in one stroke.

Our love is manifesting spells by candlelight,

whispered like prayers to the earth,

circles of salt

and smudging with sage

we grew in our own patch of dirt.

Our love is like witchcraft,

mesmerizing and mystical

in all the ways

you leave me spellbound.

Your ancient soul

cradles mine

for another eternity.
