Do you smell the sweetness of the honeysuckle?
Do you hear the whistle of the wind and feel the swaying of the trees,
The rustle of foliage as a squirrel or other friend runs through it;
Do you notice the crispness of the grass beneath your feet;
The feathery feel of the leaves betwixt your finger,
Hear the birds chirping sweetly as they sing their songs?
These are such vivid signs of life – of a balance in nature that knows no end.
If only I could only attune myself to the same balance
And feel the harmony that’s so apparent in all I see, feel, and hear
Oh, how sweet life then would be
And there would be no sense in ill spent tears.
We were meant to be as one with the divine appearance of nature.
How very sad we so seldom listen or feel and respond in kind
For there is yet much to be gained in the blossom of our lives.
