Soul to Soul

A plea

Take my love to him.

The way the wind carries sweet-scented air to the flower-gazers passing by.

The way the sun delivers its light to the moon so she can shine every night.

The way pigeons carried notes to lovers apart in olden times.

The way water carries leaves that have succumbed to the current to faraway shores.

The way melodies carry daydreams of lives yet to be lived.

The way my soul bears this undying love for only he from lives before.

Take my love to him in a dream,

Or in a whisper,

And in the language only we understand.

Please remind him

That once upon a time

I sat there with him

Looking at these same stars.

The Moon witnessed us every time.

When we went by different names

And wore different skin

But bore these same souls.

Let him know that I await him,

Where I’ve always been,

Where I’ll always be,

Where only he knows.

Forevermore.
