Amazing how quickly things can change

Being that life is so unpredictable

Crying because the loss of life

Denying that festive holiday cheer

Eerily, it seems to come in threes

Fearing what will come next.

Grateful for how the lives have affected us

Healing come during this season

I am looking forward to it

Just as the holiday spirit

Keeps us looking for the good

Love on those still with us

Miss those that have left us behind

Need some love and attention

Over all that are still here

Pouring over the memories we had

Quest to find the funniest ones

Remembering all of the good times we had

Smiling and laughing all the way

Thinking of the future to come

Under the tree the gifts from us

Viewing the ornaments upon the tree

Wishing that our loves were still here to see

X-ray stars in their uniqueness

Young and old looking in amazement

Zany days to come, as we see the best is yet to come.
