I was wrong. I took many people back into my life, numerous times, falling for the same old song, “I love you.” That’s the same old lie dad told me, as a kid before he left, and I never saw him again too. I thought, friends, family, and the ones who ‘say’ they love you are usually there for you no matter what, but that’s not what often goes on. They’re here, only for a moment and then when shit gets real? They’re gone. It’s like, “why, tell me that you have my back?” Or “let’s make this work.” If you’re planning to go anyways. Go, then, ‘get gone.’ Fuck, you don’t need to pretend to love me or do many any favours. If you want to go? There’s the fucking door.
