That wonderful feeling of

catching a snowflake in your hands,

when you can examine the perfect form, so fuzzy, so symmetrical.

/

But you know it won’t last.

/

These are the memories I have of you,

sudden snowflakes that were so tangible

but disappear and are lost forever.

Author's note: It's incredible how small events throughout the day really inspire you to rethink and reanalyze certain life experiences. Something a simple as seeing snow melt helped me reframe something that felt so sad into something magical like a snowflake. And in those moments, we heal. In those moments, I am grateful.
