Smiles

From Dancing with Shadows

Sometimes I’m down

And altogether this place sure is somber

-

With the eerie clouds

And shouts of delirium

-

Everyone has a reason to get out

And the smoke rises as our minds spin

-

Once we reach the end

The end of a long road

-

We lean to the stars

And I’ll be in vain in the ever pain

-

The smoky clouds come closer

And the somber faces smile

-

They fill my heart

In this asylum that mentors my mind

-

But my heart keeps spinning

Feeling glee and repelling what I know

-

This smoky somber place

Filled with dark clouds

-

My mind tries to conjure bliss

As I keep walking the long, hard road

-

However, I don’t walk alone

Like many with our somber, smiling faces we go

-
