Sky

Each part was written in two different times yet are one of the same

ID: A scenic picture of the Toronto sky line at sunset, featuring a bluish sky with soft pink clouds. The sky appears to be sort of boxed in by adjacent silver buildings, but still manages to extend passed them.

Part 1

Ur cotton candy milkiness

Teases the dreamer in me

a comfort so fresh and so free

I hope that one day I will be

like you,

Soft, endearing

blazing

like a forever summer breeze

you hyphenate the skies, extend their grace to the trees

Hugging the world with all your might,

casting a velvet shadow on the leaves

I hope to one day be like you

and make the world as preciously pink as can be

Part 2

When the world comes crashing down

And time tangles around you like wires

Look away - to the sky

let her soft clouds

unweave you

let her pockets of sunshine

hold you

let her tenacity

become you

Close your eyes with her promise

That she will still be there

Watching over you

even if

You never decide to open them again

About the Creator

Tuli

Hi, I hope you feel something from my poetry.

I write primarily for the gracious generation born to lost caregivers

May you one day be inundated with the flowers you always deserved

I also dabble in the genres of the random and corny :)
